This morning has been a useful time of creative spiritual churning. And if feels natural to come to this blog and tell you that.
Releasing oneself through the helplessness of prayer is such a good start.

Earlier this week, I made a spur of the moment decision to attend a church council meeting as a visitor, simply to sit in and listen. As a former president of the congretation, it’s nice to just sit and listen sometimes.
I was asked to do an impromptu opening devotion at the beginning of the meeting, and the topic and material was taken from a publication for church leadership, and focused on prayer. It was kind of like Confirmation 101 for adults. We talked about prayer, and then considered and answered the question, “Who taught you to pray”. Great discussion.
Some “creative spiritual churning” (great phrase) is good for us all on a regular basis.
